The Japanese Notebooks by MD focus on the most important part of a notebook: its paper. The paper is very fine and has a very smooth surface. Nevertheless, ink is absorbed by the paper very fast. The fountain pen seems to fly across the pages which makes the writing experience even more fun. The paper is furthermore perfectly fit for writing and sketching with other writing instruments.
